These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of the persona.nu platform and related Persona services ("Persona", "Platform", "we").

By creating an account, accessing the Platform, or continuing to use Persona, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and the related legal policies published in the Legal Center.

1. SCOPE AND ACCEPTANCE

These Terms apply to public pages, registered accounts, messaging, content sharing, donations, uploads, and other features provided by Persona.

Separate policies such as the Privacy Policy, Cookies Policy, Community Guidelines, Acceptable Use Policy, Copyright and IP Policy, and Donation Policy form part of the overall legal framework.

2. ELIGIBILITY AND ACCOUNTS

You must be legally able to accept these Terms and comply with applicable law. Persona may apply age limits, identity checks, or feature restrictions where required by law, safety, or risk controls.

You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for activity that occurs through your account unless caused by Persona's own breach of duty.

3. PLATFORM STATUS AND AVAILABILITY

Persona is an independent service under active development. Features may be added, changed, limited, or removed at any time.

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Continuous availability, uninterrupted delivery, permanent retention, and compatibility with all devices or networks are not guaranteed.

4. USER CONTENT AND RESPONSIBILITY

You remain responsible for content you create, upload, send, publish, or otherwise make available through Persona.

You represent that you have the necessary rights or permissions for such content and that it does not violate law, third-party rights, or Persona policies.

5. LICENSE TO OPERATE THE SERVICE

To operate, secure, store, display, transmit, and technically process your content within the Platform, you grant Persona a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use that content solely for providing, maintaining, and improving the service.

This license does not transfer ownership of your content to Persona and ends except to the extent retention is reasonably required for backups, security, legal compliance, or dispute handling.

6. COMMUNITY RULES AND ACCEPTABLE USE

You must comply with the Community Guidelines and Acceptable Use Policy when using Persona.

Harassment, fraud, illegal content, credential theft, abusive automation, impersonation, infringement, and attempts to compromise the Platform or other users are prohibited.

7. MESSAGING, FEEDS, AND USER INTERACTIONS

Persona may provide messaging, feeds, profiles, comments, reactions, and similar interaction features. We do not guarantee delivery, visibility, ranking, discovery, or response from other users.

Persona does not endorse user content or user relationships and is not responsible for private agreements, expectations, or disputes between users.

8. TRANSACTIONS AND THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

If user-to-user offers, donations, or third-party payments are available, those flows may involve external providers and separate terms.

Persona is not a bank, marketplace guarantor, escrow service, or universal intermediary for user transactions unless expressly stated otherwise.

9. PRIVACY AND SECURITY

Use of Persona is also governed by the Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy.

While Persona applies reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, no system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, and users are expected to use strong credentials and act carefully with links, files, and personal information.

10. MODERATION AND ENFORCEMENT

Persona may review reports, apply visibility limits, remove content, restrict features, require additional verification, or otherwise enforce Platform policies.

Moderation decisions may be made proactively or reactively and may be based on safety, legal, technical, or integrity considerations.

11. SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION

Persona may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts, content, or access where these Terms or related policies are violated, where abuse is suspected, or where this is necessary for legal compliance, security, or protection of the Platform.

Users may stop using Persona at any time. Account deletion and restoration may be subject to separate operational and legal rules.

12. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Persona and its original interface, branding, software, and project materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Unauthorized copying, extraction, resale, reverse engineering beyond what law permits, or misuse of protected Persona materials is prohibited.

13. DISCLAIMERS AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Persona disclaims warranties regarding availability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Persona is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary, or special damages, loss of profits, loss of data, service interruptions, or user-to-user harms arising from use of the Platform.

14. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTES

These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway, unless mandatory applicable law requires otherwise.

Disputes related to Persona shall be handled in accordance with Norwegian jurisdiction and procedure, subject to mandatory consumer or data-protection rights where applicable.

15. CHANGES AND CONTACT

Persona may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is published in the Legal Center, and continued use after publication may constitute acceptance of the updated Terms where permitted by law.

Donations

The platform may provide for voluntary donations.

Donations:

  • are not payment for goods or services;
  • do not create contractual obligations;
  • are not the purchase of access, an account, or digital products;
  • do not provide guarantees;
  • do not affect whether you can register or use the service;
  • are final and non-refundable.
